Designed for the flats angler, the Zane Carbon is a lightweight, large arbour sealed disc drag reel capable of handling anything thats thrown at it. It's perfectly at home Taming Bonefish or Seatrout in its smaller sizes, to Permit and Tarpon in the 10 and 12'000 sizes. The regulated hard indent drag system allows accurate drag settings to be applied quickly in the heat of battle.

I own three of these reels and they are light, have great backing capacity and the drags are super smooth. I caught a 35 pound permit on the 9/10 and the reel drag performed flawlessly.

What a great reel! Lightweight with insane drag. I use This reel mostly for saltwater fish and it has served me very well. Outstanding reel at a great price point

I own in a couple of these reels and use them in many places around the world, specifically salt flats. The Zane performed well on most everything. The oversized arbor diameter is my favorite featured. Zane's ability to take line is super impressive.
The fit and finish the real is very nice as well reasonable weight , Hardy did an excellent job with this one.
