Of the hundreds of rods I have cast, fished or owned the 5/6 & 7/8 are by far the best I have ever encountered. They are pure brilliance that allow great versatility, accuracy, and elegance.

I've bought both the 13'6 and 14'6 salmon rods and they are simply superb - probably the finest fishing rods Hardy have produced. Extremely light they are a joy to cast and great for playing salmon too.

I bought the rod 1 month ago and have used it 4 times on the Bann. Great action and casts a medium belly Spey line with a 15 foot slow sinking tip with ease.

Excellent rod, very different than single hander and finding the rigth balance! But when you do find the rigth balance between line and rod and reel, this rod is a lazer pinpointing speyrod. Every cast slow and steady with enormous power. The rod is zo ligth its almost freaks you out at first, because the rod flex is really deep. Splitcane feel! Excellent. 370grain SA brand with SA trout T-tips and a rio runningline. Fast smooth lazer like combination even with heavy flies it just sends it.
Recommend buying this rod for European rivers a 3 or 4 weigth is superb! Want bigger stuf(salmon or steelhead) 7#weigth its plenty. I would go so far to take a 6# weigth its strong enough.
But beware its addictive! You just dont see the need to touch your songelhander anymore!! :))
